You don’t have to break the bank to find great presents for your loved ones. In fact, there are a huge amount of exciting gifts under $50, including some of my favorite tech and entertainment accessories.
To help you get started, I’ve put together a few suggestions of fun, budget-friendly ideas.
I probably use my headphones more than just about any other thing I own. I play ambient music to drown out background noise while I work, and I tend to listen to podcasts while I’m doing chores around the apartment. From personal experience, I can tell you that comfortable headphones make a huge difference. My dad bought me a pair one Christmas, and it’s been one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever received. While you can definitely spend a lot of money on a high-end pair of headphones, you may be able to find headphones under $50.
Portable battery banks
Portable chargers are really nifty when you need them. I have used mine a lot at music festivals in the past, since it’s never fun to have a dead phone battery after you’ve lost your friends in a crowd. They also make great stocking stuffers. I got my dad one a few years back, since he likes to travel. He says it’s been a good backup for him on flights where the plane didn’t provide a power outlet.
Small, portable speakers can also be great gifts, and you can carry them with you almost anywhere. Since I live in a small apartment and I mostly rely on my headphones, a small portable speaker is the only stereo system I need. My wife and I use ours to put music on while we cook dinner, and we occasionally even take it with us on trips to the park. If you connect the speaker to your phone using Bluetooth, you should be able to stream music wirelessly through your favorite music service.
