Does AT&T give a student discount?
The short answer is yes. If you are a student, you may qualify for a discount with the AT&T Signature Program.
If you qualify for the AT&T Signature Program student discount, you could save $10 a month per line up to five phone lines on our best unlimited plan.1 Any additional phone lines added over five and up to a max of ten reduces all phone line discounts to $5 a month per phone line.
You may also qualify for additional benefits based on your school or university.

The AT&T Signature Program is a discount program that offers benefits to eligible employees, students, and others associated with certain companies, universities, and organizations that have a qualifying service agreement with AT&T.

Does AT&T give a discount to teachers?
If you are a teacher, you may qualify for AT&T’s Appreciation Offer discount, which provides a 25% discount on our best unlimited plans for eligible military & veterans, first responders, nurses & physicians, and teachers. Active K-12 classroom teachers and college or university professors and instructors based in the U.S. may be eligible for this offer and may receive a 25% discount per line, up to 10 lines off of our best unlimited plans: AT&T Unlimited Starter® SL, AT&T Unlimited Extra® EL, and AT&T Unlimited Premium PL.2 As an example, eligible teachers could save up to $600 per year for a plan with four lines on AT&T Unlimited Premium® PL plan.
To get your AT&T teacher discount, you’ll first need to sign up and submit proof of eligibility within 14 days of activating your discount. Documents must be in the account owner’s name and show an eligible job title. Eligible documents are unexpired employee ID, recent paystub from within 90 days, or employment letter from within 30 days.
AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy.

It’s been many years since I was a student, but for students and teachers looking to get connected, I would first recommend identifying your needs and preferences. Will you be joining a family plan or signing up for your own wireless service? Are you someone who values having the latest devices? Does your college or university provide free internet? Once you answer these questions and decide which plans and devices fit your needs, check out the available deals for students and teachers to see which offers will save you the most.
Oftentimes, being part of a family plan for wireless service makes the most sense. At AT&T, adding a new line for a cell phone can cost as low as $30 per month per line, depending on the plan and features you select, and adding a new line for a smartwatch is $10.99 per month. College students sometimes have access to free internet service, depending on your school and living arrangements.
